Quiet play
The Tweedy has the special « ultralinear master volume » technology, designed to play at any level, even at very low level at night. That master volume is very progressive, and easy to set even at low level. There is no jump in level like with a typical master volume, and it remains progressive until the end of the course. The amp also has a 20w/2w for the most quiet conditions, with a slight frequency correction in 2w mode to compensate for the bright response of some speakers at low level.
No Bias System
Change your tubes yourself, at home, no equipment needed. Freely choose between 6L6 and EL34 power tubes, you can even mix a 6L6 and an EL34. Procedure is quick, easy, and without risk. This will save you hundreds in maintenance every year, and will allow you to test many tube brands and combinations.
Big tubes
Were other amps uses cheaper EL84 tubes to get 20w, all FX amplifiers uses big EL34 or 6L6 tubes, just like the big 100w stack amps. These big tubes give a more massive sound, with increased bass response, even a low level. BIG TUBES = BIG SOUND!
Smart connections
The head version (and reverse head) features two speaker outputs in parallel, along with a 4/8/16 ohms impedance selector. This allows a variety of possible connections, with one or two cabinets from various impedances.
The combo version offers exactly the same outputs, and the speaker is externally connected (cable included). This allows for multiple smart connections. You can use the internal speaker alone, internal speaker + external cabinet, one external cabinet only, two external cabinets. It also allows the use of an attenuator with internal speaker or external cabinet, and the use of a loadbox for silent recording. Finally you can also use the combo as a cabinet for an external amplifier (In that case, turn off the amplifier section of the combo!!!)
DC tube heating
Heating tubes with DC current is quiter than the usual AC wiring. It takes more time to wire, and it’s a little bit more expensive, but it’s really worth it. Your Fx amplifier is guaranteed to be as quiet as possible.

Grand converti des Fxamps depuis presque 3 ans pour leurs très haute qualité de fabrication et de son (dynamique, transparence, etc…), je me régale actuellement avec mon SL68, un plexi boosté façon friedman Pink Taco. Avec ma Lecherf 054 (réplique de LP Custom Norlin 70′ montée en Hysteric Bar T-TOP) ça sonne d’enfer en crunch et en lead (Led Zep’, ACDC, Randy Rhoads). La réserve de gain est vraiment importante, le grain est assez lisse, après cela dépend vraiment de la guitare que vous branchez dedans.
Ce n’est pas un ampli fait pour le clean, autant le dire tout de suite, même si en baissant bien le volume de la guitare on peut y arriver. Cet ampli est fait pour mettre du gain et faire saturer les lampes, et sur ce terrain il est redoutable ! ‘
En conclusion, encore une belle réussite de Fx qui nous sort un ampli sans fioritures et assez radical, mais toujours exploitable à la maison ou en groupe. Bravo !

Le 68 ‘Creamy Overdrive de FXamps est un ampli des plus incroyables !! il a un grain de folie, un son qui devient fuzzy à souhait et une reserve de gain extraordinaire. le son qui sort de cet ampli est tout simplement magnifique. On plonge dans l’esprit vintage, on se retrouve à riffer sur des morceaux à la Led Zep comme Rock n’ Roll mais aussi sur du Hendrix comme Voodoo Chile. L’ampli permet de jouer au potard de volume de la guitare et restranscrit parfaitement les attaques et les nuances de jeu on est dans du très très haut de gamme ! Apres avoir joué sur Friedman (Small Box), Bogner (Helios, Shiva 20th, Goldfinger, Palermo, Brixton) mais aussi Marshall (JTM45 et SLP1959) aucun de ces amplis ne m’avait fait une telle impression on est dans le son root, rocailleux et ultra dynamique !!
le sac de transport Guitar Amps& Co est très bien fait et respire la qualité, le rembourage est conséquent ce qui permet de bien caler l’ampli et de pouvoir le transporter sans grande crainte. les plus : la poche pour ranger les fils/jack/ prise/ mediator … la sangle
