20w of US blues-rock sounds. 2 channels, 6L6 20w power section, tube effect loop.
The first channel is a blackface inspired clean channel. Hot and bright, it has a bright cap for extra definition even a low gain settings. Perfect for arpeggios or cleaner blues solo a la BB King with its punchy bass response.
The second channel is reminiscent of the clean channel, but with more gain, and a slightly warmer sound, this channel has no bright cap on it. Ideal for playing blues solo like SRV, but also sounds very good for more contemporary pop rhythm guitars.
The EQ is very effective at fine tuning your sound and is shared between the two channels.

Quiet play
The Dr.Blues uses the special “ultralinear master volume” technology, introduced by the Fxamps amplifiers, designed to play at any level, even at very low level at night. It even has a 20w/2w for the most quiet conditions.
No Bias System
Change your tubes yourself, at home, no equipment needed. Freely choose between 6L6 and EL34 power tubes, you can even mix a 6L6 and an EL34.
Big tubes
Were other amps uses cheaper EL84 tubes to get 20w, all ACE models uses big EL34 or 6L6 tubes, just like the big 100w stack amps. These big tubes give a more massive sound, with increased bass response, even a low level. BIG TUBES = BIG SOUND!
Lightweight construction
Aluminium construction keep the weight low, 7.5kg only in lunchbox version. It also keep the noise away, acting like insulation against electromagnetic perturbations.

Fantastic Amp!
It sounds wonderful with both my guitars, be it with single coil or humbucker pickups. With single coils, I find it brighter, crispy (but not cold), and articulation is very very expressive. With humbuckers, it is rounder and somewhat darker (both are definitely to be expected, as this is definitely the nature of the pickups) but still very articulate, and has great thick, warm and creamy tone! You can get this amp to both bite and sparkle or be very smooth. It just works beautifully with both types of pickups. Icing on the cake: it also plays extremely well with pedals – so far everything I’ve thrown at it (wah, fuzz, overdrive (lower and higher gain), delay and reverb) has been handled perfectly and I have been super satisfied every time. And finally, not only does it sound amazing, but it also looks great. I am definitely super happy with my purchase.
